It refers not only to the absence of disease but the ability to recover from illness and other problems. It can be seen as the ability of a body to adapt to new threats and infirmities. As a matter of fact, we can say that Health can be also defined as a state of balance, an equilibrium that a private has established within himself and between himself and his social and physical environment.
Generally, there are several different ways of thinking about health and well being. There are those who think that health and well-being are the absence of physical illness, disease, and mental distress. This is a negative definition of health and well-being. Others who see this concept as the achievement and maintenance of physical fitness and mental stability. And those who went into claiming that health and well being is the result of a combination of physical, social, intellectual, and emotional factors. This is a holistic definition of well being.
Good health and wellbeing bring many benefits to all of us. Healthier people tend to be happier, tend to play a lively role, and contribute to society and therefore the economy through their families, local communities, and workplaces. Conversely, poor health and wellbeing put a huge strain on individuals and society.
